 Data Conversation Resources

Use data to support your school improvement efforts! Follow the link below for resources to support your school community in having meaningful conversations about data at your site. These resources were developed for the SSC Summit workshop, “Where do we focus? Accessing Understanding and Using Data to Shape Your Goals and BSC” on March 2, 2013.

 Smarter Balanced

The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) is a state-led consortium developing assessments aligned to the Common Core State Standards in English language arts/literacy and mathematics that are designed to help prepare all students to graduate high school college- and career-ready. California is a member of this consortium and it is anticipated that students in California will be required to take the SBAC assessments in the spring of 2015.

The site showcases the SBAC work and provides frequent updates on activities, milestones, and events.

Common Core Standards California Department of Education website
The site includes access to Common Core Standards resources, and presentations for schools, teachers, students and parents.

 SFUSD- Research Application

All researchers interested in conducting research in SFUSD must complete the Application to Conduct Research in the SFUSD, which now includes: 
     * Research Study Application
     * Survey Application
     * Data use agreement (DUA)

*** The application deadline is March 15, 2013 for research to be conducted in the 2013-14 school year.
