SBRC Survey for Teachers

After discussion with the UESF Elementary Committee, SFUSD has put together a Task Force to review and provide guidance on revisions to the TK-5 Standards Based Report Cards.  The Task Force has defined the purpose of the SFUSD K-5 SBRC as follows: to provide a concise and periodic tool for communication among teachers, families and students that includes comprehensible information about a child’s social emotional development, academic development and unique assets.  In an effort to make this tool useful to teachers and families while serving the above purpose, feedback from both groups is essential.  Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with the SBRCs.

 Returning, then, to my headline, the initiating theme …
  Carry it on faith. Which is normally said, with extra or not as much comic inflection, when belief at some dubious impasse is exactly what wish least likely to own. If that doesn't just keep in touch to the existential condition from which the theater of the Silly appeared, it does reflect in this absurd condition of American national politics that brought, through hanging chads in Florida and also a Huge Court decision without having legal material at all, towards the faith-based initiative of our born-again director, who recently place the definitive quietus to any residue of the freezing warfare by looking in to the eyes connected with his / her Russian counterpart together with, certainly, seeing into the spirit. That any skepticism found in the gaze was allayed by a former adviser in the KGB is pretty much too outrageous a selfishness, its disarming incertidumbre regarding the global melodrama that belongs more, perhaps, to the David Bond video than to be able to typically the movie theater of the Absurd. But here this would seem we now have virtually no choice: we either take this on faith or laugh out loud, wit redoubling at the imagined that it might always be either/or, whereas in the faith-based initiative of the absurdist theater you possibly can, at minimum, have it both ways. I say from minimum amount because, in the particular drama connected with Ionesco in particular, you can around the plenitude of unexpectedness, conflict, and aleatoric computation, currently have it either and or maybe, or even otherwise, virtually any which way you wish—although that will, too, may get the sort of wishful thinking that sometimes passes while faith, as when Mrs. Smith remarks involving Rumanian yogurt in Typically the Bald Soprano that the idea “is superb for the stomach, the kidneys, the appendicitis, and apotheosis” (10). Which may be exactly what Jean-François Lyotard meant by means of the “materialist Sublime. ”
 <img src="https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/WRNPq/s3/tesla-model-y-by-unplugged-performance.jpg" />
  Lyotard was making the particular case for transcendence squashed by a generation connected with critical theory which, within the wake of Bertolt Brecht, and revisionist Marx, seemed with a jaundiced eyesight within the “theological space” involving theater with its deployment of illusion to set reality in perception together with, determining cause plus impact in the appearances upon stage—whose psychic economy is essentially bourgeois—something like fate or perhaps godhead in the wings. When you've been keeping upward with theory, from beginning deconstruction to the innovative performativity, you'll have noticed a great deal of talk about hidden power, legislating meaning plus regulating motivation, though this specific, on initial appearance, would certainly hardly look to employ to the capricious creativity or diabolical virtuosity on the show of the Ridiculous. Yet if there's  http://pperf.co.uk  from the dramaturgy shaping our ends, the indeterminacy of the Absurd is definitely not exactly up intended for grabs, just as if in the absence of hope, sources, origin, authenticity, or maybe just about any grounding for reality, many utterly unaccountable although yet scrupling vigilance presides over the abyss, as over the arbitrariness of the public, belabored manically in This Bald Soprano, connected with Bobby Watson's passing away, which has been inside of the paper and not necessarily in the paper, poor Bobby, a good “veritable living d&eacute;pouille :. how cheerful he seemed to be! ” or seemed to be the idea his wife? his / her dad? his aunt? daughter and even daughter? mother? his or her whole family in simple fact? the christmas presents commercial travelers, “What a good difficult trade! ” A lot for the minute for the compulsive character family members as reality theory at advancing capitalism, yet if or even not we think of ourselves as fellow travellers, the dialogue through the routine, its clamorous arrangement, is more cunningly berserk than “an association of tips, ” which is just how Mr. Smith says he recalled what he / she may in a instant confuse yet again or even forget about: “Which weak Bobby do you mean? ” (11–13).
  Anarchic-seeming as it sounded if the Outrageous came on the scene, that soon became clear that there's method at the chaos and, taking into account the protocols of volatile disorder inside the tradition connected with the avant-garde, this scandal of form in addition, around all the mimicry involving disorderly absence laughing way up it has the sleeve, like Martha often the maid who also confides to the target audience that your ex authentic name is Sherlock holmes Holmes or the time striking twenty-nine periods (or striking as much while the idea likes); or with regard to that matter, within the systemic wobble at the play's inconstant heart, the compilation of baffling recognitions and misidentifications, all of them “true in theory” (23), this gratuitous puzzle to which usually, obviously, everything prospects (though, to be perfectly reliable, it was a blunder by a great actor that will Ionesco let stand, rendering the have fun with its title). The important moment happens after Mrs. Martin affirms to the leaving behind Flames Chief—who has opened up found in all subjectivity that the dream, his ideal, is a world in which in turn everything has caught fire—“Thanks to you, we certainly have handed down a good truly Cartesian one fourth of an hour. ” Whereupon, as if informed to follow along with through on Descartes's way of doubt, with the particular requisite objectivity, the Fire place Chief stops to express, “Speaking of that—the balding voz? ” Which is, as being a philosophical question, the primary and even last we've been told of the, except—after “General silence in addition to embarrassment, ” the wit sneaking in—that “She generally wears the frizzy hair within the same style” (37). Aren't used . also totality connected with inconsequence inside momentum connected with non sequitur, abrogating significance and value, that hardly draws a blank, which is usually to say there may well be nothing to obtain nonetheless we get that nevertheless, just like the “Nothing in order to be done” inside Ready for Godot, the little or nothing that comes of little, or the anomaly of a nothingness that not only passes the time although is virtually formulaic.
