No One knows how old yoga is. It originated. It has gone evolution that was much and was handed down orally. The first reference to Yoga was found when archeological excavations were made from the Indus valley - an strong and powerful civilization in the early period that was classic.  https://yoga-world.org  had sewer systems as early as 2,600 BC and developed around the Sarasvati river and the Indus river in India.

While many religions continue It goes to all people, to want to create yoga their production. It has many facets that can be seen in the Hindu and Buddhist faith, but the fundamental principals are universal and according to"the eight limbs of yoga", which can be found in most religions.
The History of Yoga is defined as four phases:

Vedic Period, Pre-Classical Period, Classical Period, Post Classical Period and the Modern Stage
  History of Yoga

Yoga Is reported to be as old as civilization itself but that the oral transmission of this practice, has left openings in its foundation. Earliest archeological evidence relating to yoga's presence is found excavated from the Indus valley, depicting a figure seated in a yoga pose that was traditional. The rock seals put Yoga's presence around 3000 B.C.

  The Vedic Period

The following Reference to yoga is located in the Rig Veda. Even the Vedas, dating back to 1500 and 1200 BC, are a group of hymns, mantras and brahmanical rituals which praised a being that is larger. Meditation is known to in the book as yoking or subject to attain this subject. Yoga is also mentioned by the Atharva Veda with a reference to restraining the breath.

  Pre-Classical Period

The creation of the Upanishads, The word Upanishad suggests that the only way a student could learn the truths inscribed in the texts was sitting close and intends to sit near.

The Maitrayaniya Upanishad summarized a six-fold path to liberation. Patanjali's Yoga Sutra was later to mirror these avenues with a few additions and elucidation.

Two yoga disciplines Gained prominence now: karma yoga (course of ritual or action ) and jnana yoga (path of study or knowledge of the scriptures). Both paths led to enlightenment or liberation. The Bhagavad-Gita, composed around 500 BC later included the bhakti yoga (the path of devotion) to this path.

It had been at the time of the Upanishads the Notion of Ritual sacrifice became the notion of sacrifice of the self through action, self-knowledge and wisdom and was internalized. This remains an significant part yoga's philosophy today. As with the Vedas, the Upanishads comprised nothing of what we would term as yoga asana practice. The most important and first presentation of yoga arrived in the phase.

  Classical Period

Written some Time in the second century created a milestone specifying what is now known as the Classical Period. This set of 195 sutras (aphorisms) is regarded as the first systematic presentation of yoga, also Patanjali is revered as the father of yoga.

Patanjali described yoga's route (ashtanga yoga), which explained a practical treatise on living and laid out a route for attaining harmony of the mind, body and soul. Strict adherence to that would lead you. Although yoga sees the need to master the eight limbs in series the sutras serve as a guideline for living in the world.

  Post-Classical Period
It Was that the belief of this human body as a temple had been rekindled and yogis made a clinic to rejuvenate the human body and to prolong life. It was no longer required to escape from reality; rather the focus was alive in the moment and on the path that is right. The quest of the physical halves and the spiritual and the need to harmonize body, the mind and spirit led to the production of Tantra yoga, to Hatha yoga in the century, and to cleanse the entire body and brain.
  Contemporary Period

Yoga in its present avatar owes lots of To learned gurus who researched and generated schools of yoga, or traveled west to disperse the benefits of yoga. In 1893 Swami Vivekanada addressed the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago and spoke about Raja yoga. Swami Sivanada introduced the five fundamentals of yoga and wrote several books on philosophy and yoga. J.Krishnamurti, the prolific Indian philosopher, influenced tens of thousands with his teachings and writings on Jnana yoga.

The defining epicenter of day yogapracticed in the west, started Mysore India, with Krishnamacharya in 1931.

T Krishnamacharya started the very first Hatha yoga school . Three of Krishnamacharya's most famous pupils were-Pattabhi Jois, who developed the school of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, Indra Devi who introduced yoga to Hollywood, also B.K.S. Iyengar, who created Iyengar yoga known for its attention to body alignment and because of its use of props.

Since Then, a lot yoga professionals are becoming pioneers, popularizing yoga and locating new fashions in keeping with the changing times.

Yoga in America has been A true yogi understands, although focused on the practice's Asana side There is far more to the encounter. I advise students to test Styles and you will find one which gives the maximum to you enrichment.
